Hi there, I am Wim Rietdijk

My whole professional career has focused on using data to make better informed decisions. That is what I like about data science. To improve decision making in various fields, such as public policy, education, health and medicine. Previously, I worked as data scientist in various fields from healthcare insurance to medical research. Currently, I work as Chief Data Officer (CDO) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Also, I conduct data science projects and research at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. In all these positions I strive to align people, processes and technology to work towards an efficient operating ecosystem.
