Hi there, I am Wim Rietdijk, PhD

My whole professional career has focused on using data to make better informed decisions. That is what I like about data science. To improve decision making in various fields, such as public policy, education, health and medicine. Previously, I worked as data scientist in various fields from healthcare insurance to medical research.

Currently, I work as Chief Data Officer (CDO) at Ministry of Defence in The Hague and as academic researcher at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. In this latter position, I work as research and statistician at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam.
