Chief Data officer

Currently, I work as Chief Data Officer at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam (The Netherlands). It fascinating to be part of a transformation of an organization to be more data-driven. What does it entail?

Nowadays centralized and decentralized departments make use of data for their daily operations. This causes fragmentation, while when data is really important (on a operational, tactical, and strategically level)  - and it is - than it will get managed by a central player in the organization.

Read this website for this journey. Over time, I will post a data strategy, data governance and management plan. In 2024 the journey will continue, but this part is still work in progress.
